Open SaleSwitch 0:00
SaleSwitch keeps a sale in three clear steps: choose products, set your campaign, then review and schedule. This guide uses separate real captures and fictional Northline test products. Screens explain the form and show connected Shopify development-store results. Opening the app schedules nothing.
Choose a collection and variants 0:18
Search the catalogue, expand a product to choose individual variants, or start from an existing collection. Adding a collection selects its active variants within your plan limit. Manual product selection includes displayed variants only. This is a snapshot: products added to the collection later do not silently enter your scheduled sale.
Name your campaign 0:39
Give the campaign a useful name, such as Black Friday, Clearance, or Holiday sale. A preset fills the name; it does not choose dates or change prices. Edit the name before review. Clear names also help when you reuse a campaign.
Set prices and dates 0:55
Choose the percentage, start time and end time. Enter dates in the browser timezone shown beside the fields, then check the store timezone during review. Choose exact or supported rounding. A minimum price is your floor, not a profit guarantee. Keep Skip already on sale enabled to leave existing promotions alone.
Add an optional countdown 1:14
Turn on Show a sale countdown. Write a headline, choose a product page or store banner, and select a theme, dark, or light style. The preview helps you choose the look. Theme setup is separate: this option does not automatically add a block or activate an app embed.
Place the product countdown 1:31
Open the theme editor and add the SaleSwitch countdown to the product template. Drag it below Buy buttons or another supported position, then save. It appears for confirmed sale variants during the active campaign. Other variants and later edited prices stay outside that message. The timer uses the real end time and does not reset.
Activate a store banner 1:55
For a store banner, activate SaleSwitch in App embeds and choose its position, then save and check the storefront. The banner names the campaign and links a participating product; it does not imply every product is discounted. If banner campaigns overlap, the most recent start has priority.
Create a dedicated sale collection 2:15
Enable Create a sale collection and give it a title. After prices are confirmed, SaleSwitch creates a dedicated collection and publishes it to your Online Store. Skipped items stay out. Product cards can lead to other variants. Add the collection link to navigation if needed. At the end, only SaleSwitch's own selections are removed.
Review every change 2:37
Review each original price, sale price, reference price and skipped row. Check the dates, campaign name, countdown and collection options together. A preview expires after fifteen minutes, and prices are checked again before processing. Overlapping sales and unresolved price changes are blocked. Go back to edit. Approval comes only after review.
Schedule and follow the results 3:00
After scheduling, open Your sales. Saved means queued, not already applied. Prices usually begin changing on the next minute check after the start; larger batches can take a few minutes. Follow the applied, skipped and attention counts. Storefront setup has separate statuses. Retry storefront setup if needed; acknowledged price results are preserved.
Restore and reuse safely 3:23
End and restore stops the countdown message and queues restoration. SaleSwitch restores acknowledged prices only while they still match its changes. A later merchant edit is left untouched for review. Your sale collection remains, along with products you add. Before you uninstall the app, check every campaign outcome. Use as template makes an editable copy with new dates. Review current prices again before scheduling.
Plans and optional AI drafts 3:50
Free includes two sales per UTC month and fifty variants per sale. Pro is nine dollars and ninety-nine cents monthly, with unlimited sales, two hundred variants and twenty AI draft requests monthly. AI is optional: read the data notice and consent before sending your brief and chosen catalogue details. Customer records are not included. Review and approve scheduling separately.
About these captures
A narrated guide assembled from separate, genuine screen captures. Each chapter identifies its capture context. The catalogue uses fictional Northline QA products. Local demo screens explain configuration; connected Shopify development-store captures verify theme placement, collection publication and campaign results. This is not a continuous recording or an installation recording.
Separate genuine local-demo and Shopify development-store captures. The local form uses a fictional Northline catalogue; connected screens show dedicated fictional QA products. Native placement is demonstrated on an explicitly saved draft theme. No production-store capture is claimed.
The connected development-store captures followed guarded manual worker wakes. Independent QA checks confirm all three campaigns completed, six price outcomes restored, SaleSwitch selections cleared while collections remained, and collection import included the two intended active variants. The saved draft theme verifies product and banner placement, excluded variants, real deadlines and dismissal. These are separate captures; automatic hosted production scheduling is not claimed and production release acceptance remains pending.
Short captions reconstruct the spoken narration exactly. Timing is approximate and weighted by word count, not a forced-alignment transcript.
